Hello Digital Gunslingers,
I wanted to apologize for my lack of contact with you regarding my absence from yesterday's Digital Gunslinger meeting. I had fully intended to warn you that I would not be in attendance (nor Kevin or Si). As some of you know, we're currently on a roadtrip from Fort Collins, through Seattle, and back to Fort Collins from Saturday to tonight. Internet has been few and far between, with very little time for even phone calls or email. We're literally stopped for 15 more minutes in Bozeman, MT before our 12 hour journey back to Fort Collins. You can follow our adventure on IAmNickArmstrong.com or on Twitter by following hashtag #Sunshine2Seattle. As the DGs are a strong and cohesive group, if this should ever happen again in the future, please do step forward and take the meeting in whatever direction you see fit (as Ana did with her talk on tripple bottom line businesses), even continuing on the set topic as a roundtable if there are people who know and are interested to know about that topic. As I mentioned last week, my role is largely just to facilitate the conversations in whatever directions the group finds value in. If our absence has angered/upset you, I would invite you to e-mail me personally to discuss how I can serve you better in the future. The topic we had in question was HTML/FBML and will be repeated at some point in the future (or during personal meetings where I can clarify those topics on a one-on-one basis with anyone upset by our absence). This weekend is a photography walk with Christina G, (@photocg) $1 101 - Photography - Photowalk, and next Tuesday's meeting is on Typography with Liz Sunshine - a local graphic design ninja and major typophile. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns :-) -Nick Armstrong web: IAmNickArmstrong.com twitter: @ImNickArmstrong phone: (858) 598-3389 -- this goes direct to my voicemail, but I will call you right back. |
